Hello Reader,

It has been a week. The kind of week where you need music the way you need water.

So instead of tips and strategies today, I’m just going to share what’s been getting me through. Consider this my gift to your Friday.

I put together a little playlist of songs that never fail to move me, literally and figuratively. Some 80s. Some Broadway. All good.

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by the Eurythmics. This song has never once failed to get me on my feet. Not once. Put it on when you need to remember you are not playing small today.

Let’s Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire. You already know I have a soft spot for EWF. This one is pure joy in four minutes.

I Keep Forgetting by Michael McDonald. Okay, this one is a mood. A little soulful, a little bittersweet. Perfect for when you need to feel something while you work.

Breakout by Swing Out Sister. Criminally underplayed. Criminally. If you’ve never heard it, you’re welcome in advance.

Song for a Future Generation by the B-52s. Ridiculous and wonderful. Play this one when you need to stop taking everything so seriously.

Satisfied from Hamilton. The original is brilliant, but have you heard Renée Elise Goldsberry’s new remix on her recent album? Fan-fricking-tastic doesn’t even cover it. Sit down, close your eyes, and just listen. [Watch it here.]

Seasons of Love from Rent. Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes. You know it. I dare you not to feel something.

Put this playlist on the next time you sit down to write an email, batch your content, or do literally anything that feels hard this week. Music makes everything better.

Hit reply and tell me which one surprised you most. Or tell me what song is getting you through this season. Sharing is caring. ;)

Have a powerful weekend,
Allegra
